ART on FOND du LAC
The Art on Fond du Lac project was a temporary street art project meant to slow traffic and create a more distinct sense of place in the neighborhoods of Sherman Park and Metcalfe Park along Fond du Lac Avenue in Milwaukee. I was one of nine artists, and for my contribution, I painted on boarded up windows of nine buildings along the twenty-block project. For more information, check out our video and our write up in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. These installations were done in paint, some directly on the boards, but higher, harder-to-reach places were painted on TyVek and then stapled onto boards. Installation took place over a month, perhaps eight days total.
